Experience More Success Next Winter

What is summer for a winter competitor? In an organized annual plan it is called the GENERAL PREPARATION PHASE. Athletes of all winter disciplines have a simliar focus:

  • Improve working capacity
  • More aerobic endurance
  • Increase physical strength
  • Develop flexibility
  • Evaluate and adjust diet habits and nutrition
  • Practice and refine mental skills

Athletes should prepare a plan that addresses teh above with a primary focus towards PHYSICAL STRENGTH and AEROBIC ENDURANCE. Make a plan with your athlete team: you--your parents--and your coach. Use some or all of these programs to plan and support you in your summer training plan.

Start with our Comp Center Activities, then use the menu at the top to check out the Alpine and Freestyle specific programs.

Weight Room

The Winter Park Competition Center Weight Room, located at Kings Crossing in Winter Park on the lower level near the restrooms is available for athlete training. A summer pass is $99.00 and a day pass is $5.00. Below you can find the current schedule:
